Why are we building a playground at Madrona Highlands?
Children and youth with a safe, engaging place to play see positive health, social, and developmental benefits.
Madrona Highlands has been intentionally designed to support families while building a sense of belonging and trust using on-site community spaces. These areas will create opportunities for resident gatherings, resource fairs, and classes for Madrona's residents.
The play area is the focal point of this property and will have seating and additional enrichment activities like hopscotch, obstacle course, and tic-tac-toe stenciling.
Support from Peoples Bank would assist Housing Hope in the purchase and installation of a slide, see-saw, and wood fiber safety surfacing for the playground.
