Housing Hope puts on several events each year from fundraisers to staff parties. We often need help with set up, registration, and/or leading activities, depending on the type of event. If you like working with people in a festive environment, this could be the volunteer opportunity you’ve been looking for!

Info Tables & Booths

We often host informational tables at a fairs and sporting events in the summer and fall. Having a presence at these events helps us get the word out in the community about who we are and what we do.

If you like working with other volunteers in a lively environment where you get to interact with people, this is a great job for you!

Housing Hope’s Team HomeBuilding program is a self-help, or “sweat equity” program funded by a USDA grant to help low-income residents of Snohomish County realize their dreams of homeownership by helping to build their own homes.

Several houses are built at the same time, in the same development. The homeowners all work together on all the houses, and no one moves in until every house is finished. It’s not just a house, it’s a community.

You can help these homeowners realize their dreams by bringing out a group of skilled workers to help with specific projects. Such projects might include:

  • Building wood-framed walls

  • Framing doors

  • Building landings

  • Building stairs

  • Installing exterior doors

  • Installing cabinets

  • Installing laminate flooring

  • Roofing

  • Installing bath hardware
